So, your little one is on the move – or just about too! FUN TIMES!
There are quite a few options to pick from so here is some help on how to pick the best one for your baby. All our little people are so very different and find different things appealing. If being social and sitting ‘baby’ chatting with mum from an early age is your baby’s favourite thing, then a seated walker that allows you little one to safely do so is going to be the best option.
However, if your little one just adores practicing pulling themselves up and sitting back down then a sturdy based walker designed just for that would be the way to go.
One thing we must stress to all parents is that a baby walker is still just a toy for an infant. It is not safe to put your baby in a seated walker or leave them playing with a free-standing walker unsupervised at any time.
At The Toy Wagon we work with a few different brands to ensure that the range of baby walkers we stock are all designed to be fun and entertaining for little ones between 4-12 months.
When picking a walker, focus on the activities your baby enjoys the most and use that to base your decision on what would be the best option for you little one.
Once you have your walker, remember it’s a toy. It’s not going to replace the good old-fashioned practice your little one will need to learn to walk such as crawling, balancing while holding onto Mum or Dad, pulling themselves up on the edge of the couch.
